Full job description

About the Role

Join a fast‑moving, high‑impact logistics team that keeps our supply chain running smoothly from vendor to distribution center. As a Logistics Administrator, you’ll be at the heart of our Customer Pickup (CPU) operations — optimizing freight, collaborating with vendors and carriers, and driving improvements that reduce cost and enhance service. If you enjoy solving problems, building relationships, and keeping things moving, this role gives you a chance to shine.

What You’ll Do

You’ll play a key role in ensuring efficient and accurate freight movement by:

Customer Pickup Optimization & Coordination

  • Analyze daily CPU loads for optimization opportunities and tender freight to carriers.
  • Verify PO notifications from CRP vendors and ensure accuracy of orders, weights, dates, and pickup locations.
  • Communicate with vendors and Inventory Analysts to resolve missing or incorrect transmissions.
  • Consolidate PO numbers, adjust order weights, and modify pickup schedules to support cost‑saving programs and freight efficiencies.
  • Partner with vendors and analysts to adjust order dates and expedite urgent orders when needed — sometimes even same‑day pickup.
  • Consolidate retail store orders onto deliveries with the goal of on time delivery, minimized miles and maximized cube goals.
  • Review daily salvage and reclaim pick-ups to plan for only full-truck moves as possible through the network and ensure our best support of retail operations.

Carrier, Vendor, Retail & DC Support

  • Work closely with vendor shipping teams to ensure timely loading and reduce detention.
  • Communicate with private fleet to improve on‑time performance and resolve operational issues.
  • Send daily late‑load reports to buyers, Logistics, and DC teams.
  • Assist DCs with missing bills, envelope requests, and documentation for carrier billing.
  • Coordinate with our warehouse teams to account for any additional pallet space or last minute shipping requests.
  • Receive and process retail requests including receiving all required approvals.

Analysis, Collaboration & Special Projects

  • Serve as a liaison across Distribution, Transportation, Category Management, and Replenishment.
  • Execute transfers and rush deliveries when requested.
  • Assist with schedule changes, reset stores, order poll monitoring and other additional tasks.
  • Support disaster recovery operations during weather or natural disaster events.

What You Bring

Knowledge

  • Familiarity with trucking, distribution, logistics, or replenishment processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Skills

  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Strong organization, planning, and presentation capabilities.
  • Self‑motivation with the ability to influence and drive results.

Abilities

  • Manage daily responsibilities with attention to detail and follow‑through.
  • Adapt quickly to change and help others do the same.
  • Analyze retail/logistics data and identify key insights.
  • Actively listen and build trust across teams.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business preferred, High School Diploma required.
  • 1–3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, procurement/merchandising, distribution, or manufacturing operations, retail or IT.
  • Experience with systems such as SEGA, DSS, LlamaSoft, WMS, PFT, Inforem, Tableau, Revionics, and MSP is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Additional Information

  • Candidates can sit out of any of our Distribution Centers located along the East Coast.
  • Must be comfortable working 2nd Shift (10am-7pm), with rotating weekends.
