About the Role

The Driveshaft Shop is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to support inventory accuracy, material organization, and production flow in our manufacturing facility.

This role is a good fit for someone who enjoys hands-on work, staying organized, solving inventory discrepancies, and supporting production teams. The Inventory Specialist will help count, label, move, stage, and record materials using Microsoft Dynamics and other inventory tools.

What You’ll Do

  • Receive and unload delivery trucks.
  • Count, label, organize, and store inventory items.
  • Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory counts.
  • Enter and update inventory transactions in Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Pull, stage, and issue materials for production work orders.
  • Return unused materials to inventory using proper documentation.
  • Maintain accurate bin locations, part labels, and inventory records.
  • Help production teams locate parts, materials, and components.
  • Move materials between departments or storage areas within the facility.
  • Identify damaged, mislabeled, obsolete, or questionable inventory.
  • Report shortages, discrepancies, and inventory concerns to leadership.
  • Keep inventory and storage areas clean, organized, and safe.
  • Follow company procedures for material handling, safety, and documentation.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous inventory, warehouse, shipping/receiving, manufacturing, or materials experience preferred.
  • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics, ERP systems, barcode scanners, or inventory software preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic computer skills, including data entry and Microsoft Excel or Outlook.
  • Ability to count, track, label, and organize inventory correctly.
  • Good communication skills with production, purchasing, and leadership.
  • Ability to work independently and follow established procedures.
  • Reliable attendance and a strong safety mindset.
  • Forklift or pallet jack experience preferred, but not required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, carry, push, and pull materials during the workday.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
  • May be exposed to production noise, moving equipment, dust, and seasonal temperature changes.
  • Must follow all safety procedures and use required PPE.
