Position Summary

The Marketing Specialist II - Private Brands is responsible for supporting the delivery of Food Lion private brand growth by defining strategic growth plan and managing day-to-day brand initiatives, campaigns, and communications. This role helps bring the brand to life across marketing channels by ensuring brand standards, messaging, and creative execution are delivered consistently, accurately, and on time. Working closely with leadership, creative, media, and cross-functional partners, especially center store and fresh merchants, the Specialist II plays a critical role in maintaining brand integrity while driving effective in-market execution.

Duties And Responsibilities

Brand & Campaign Execution

  • Support the execution of strategies and integrated marketing plans that build brand equity and align to business objectives.
  • Manage assigned brand initiatives or campaigns from briefing through execution, ensuring deliverables meet brand, quality, and timing expectations.
  • Coordinate with creative, media, production, and channel partners to ensure brand messaging and visuals are consistent across all touchpoints.
  • Execute updates and revisions to brand communications based on performance insights, feedback, and evolving priorities.

Brand Standards & Consistency

  • Apply brand guidelines, voice, and visual standards across marketing materials to ensure consistency and integrity in market.
  • Review creative assets and messaging to confirm alignment with brand positioning and approved standards. Time Spent 40% 30%
  • Serve as a brand steward in day-to-day execution, flagging risks or inconsistencies and recommending solutions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with marketing strategy, creative, media, merchandising, and agency teams to align inputs and deliverables.
  • Communicate timelines, expectations, and updates clearly to internal and external partners.
  • Support leadership by preparing materials, summaries, and status updates related to brand initiatives.

Performance & Learning

  • Support analysis of campaign and brand performance metrics to inform optimizations and future planning.
  • Stay informed on consumer, category, and competitive trends that may impact brand perception.
  • Continuously build brand, marketing, and executional expertise through learning and hands-on experience

Basic Qualification

  • Experience in consumer brand management, marketing campaigns, or integrated marketing execution.
  • Strong understanding of brand fundamentals, including positioning, messaging, and consistency across channels.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualification

  • Experience in a retail, CPG, or multi-channel marketing environment.
  • Familiarity with integrated marketing campaigns and the marketing mix.
  • Experience working with creative teams and agencies.
  • Working knowledge of marketing workflows, approval processes, and production timelines

Education

  • Master's Degree in business with a focus in marketing or strategy (preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience

  • 3-5+ years of experience in marketing, brand support, or campaign execution roles
  • Experience within CPG building consumer-facing brands (desired)
