Position Summary
Responsible for collaborating with leadership team in the implementation of a selling organization culture with a consumer-centric focus through Banner Sales Plan responsibilities. Responsible for coordinating the weekly ad processes and other promotional programs. Will work collaboratively with Category teams, Marketing department and our print vendors to ensure accuracy of items, prices and consumer friendly descriptions as well as ensuring print and system deadlines are met.
Principle Duties And Responsibilities
- Participate in the ad planning process by completing the following tasks:
- Create ad shells for the weekly Banner flyer that include page, position and themes along with instructions the Pricing and Category teams.
- Enter ad items into MSP, a process known as "gridding", and review for accuracy. If there are questions or concerns work with Category and Pricing Assistants to resolve.
- Item information, includes, but is not limited to: UPC, Item Description, Consumer Friendly Description, Retails by Price Zone, dates item is on promotion, image
- Proof the Banner flyer in each iteration of proof, i.e., Base Comp, First Proof and Final Proof, for accuracy in the following areas:
- Over lines - do they accurately reflect product in image
- Consumer Friendly Descriptions - do they match the image shown
- Proof and export sign packages weekly depending upon the promotional event
- Coordinate communication across Marketing, Category and Pricing teams as well as print vendors to ensure deadlines are met.
- Manage MSP and SEGA sales plan billing to ensure accuracy.
- Ensure Marketing, Category and Pricing teams are adhering to standard practices as they relate to Sales Plan activities.
- Manage special store pricing prioritization, grand opening pricing, seasonal markdowns and electronic coupons (Copient).
- Responsible for establishing good working relationships with retail associates to make daily inquiries regarding the accuracy of pricing (VORs) effective and efficient.
- Act in a manner that motivates peers and reflects an acceptance of change and growth.
- Contribute ideas to support a continuous improvement culture.
- Act as an informal resource for associates with less experience. Responsible for the development, talent planning and performance management of self.
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Experience working in a professional or retail environment
- Working level of knowledge for company, business and industry practices
- Experience with the following computer programs: Microsoft Office, SEGA, DSS, LlamaSoft, WMS, PFT, Inforem, Tableau, Revionics, MSP

- Experience in category, demand management, retail, merchandising, pricing, logistics, supply chain, procurement, or distribution
