Job Summary as an EHS Manager will include:

  • Coach and counsel location leaders to instruct them of and assist them in the execution of their EHS accountability to derive a Zero Incident Culture
  • Partner with operations to develop and execute strategic and tactical EHS plans to drive fatality prevention, increase risk recognition and reduce injuries/incidents, enhance employee health and environmental compliance, protection and improvement

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Confer with department supervisors to determine status of assigned projects
  • Partner with site level operations team to execute company EHS programs and processes to ensure protection, compliance, and improvements to all applicable regulatory requirements
  • Oversee environmental operations to ensure regulatory compliance and permit renewals
  • Provide Technical and regulatory guidance for chemical handling and hazardous waste programs
  • Leads the Environmental Management System (EMS) and ISO 14001 program administration
  • Analyze EHS metrics and trends to provide proposed actions plans for continual improvement
  • Ensure site leadership and associates are trained and knowledgeable of their EHS responsibilities
  • Partner with Global EHS personnel to leverage global safety and environmental best practices
  • Interface with regulatory agencies on EHS matters
  • Ensure Job Safety Analysis is effectively conducted, and monitoring closure of action items
  • Manage the Emergency Plan and Emergency Response Team
  • Conduct Incident Analysis and Root Cause Analysis. Ensure injury, illness or close call cases are effectively managed to closure
  • Represent Hexagon Agility in a professional manner in keeping with its standards of conduct
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks

Front Administration Support

  • Support front admin with concur and communications with suppliers e.g., Cintas, Robles, First Choice, SSD, etc…

Education, Certifications & Qualifications

  • Diploma, degree and/or equivalent certification in Lean Six Sigma or OSHA certifications
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, and other program tools
  • A.S or B.S in Environmental, Health & Safety
  • In lieu of degree a commensurate combination of education & experience n EHS
  • Environmental, Health and Safety certification
  • Five years’ experience in a manufacturing environment including responsibility for EHS
  • Understanding ISO 14001 & 45001 and leading environmental improvement initiatives
  • Experience leading in a culture-change initiative regarding best in class EHS practices
  • Competent in establishing chemical handling and hazardous waste management program

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of regulations, governing environmental, health and safety
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong leadership skills for implementing / sustaining processes, policies and procedures
  • Inspires, motivates, and collaborates with others
  • Anticipates needs and problems while creating solutions
  • Effective communication and interaction skills with all levels of employees and management
  • Able to evaluate and manage risk assessments

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.

This position may work in the plant and outdoors in the field, therefore subject to all weather conditions sometimes to include extreme cold and heat. The work described while working in the plant or field will require wearing all PPE depending on circumstance which may include safety glasses, hard hat, ear protection, leather gloves, safety vest and steel toed boots.
