Position | Multimedia Coordinator | Division: | COMMUNICATIONS | Department: | MULTIMEDIA | Reports to: | DIRECTOR OF MULTIMEDIA & DIGITAL ENGAGEMENT | | Position Summary | The Multimedia Coordinator supports the Multimedia Director and team in the daily operations of the organization’s media platforms, including radio broadcasting, recording studio services, podcast production, and digital media production. This role plays a key part in content coordination, scheduling, social media engagement planning, event support, and multimedia asset management while maintaining strong brand consistency and collaboration across departments. | | Essential Duties & Responsibilities The results you will deliver each day that matter most! | Radio Station Operations - Assist with daily operations of the radio station, including programming, sponsorship coordination, interviews, and community engagement initiatives.
- Support on-air and behind-the-scenes production needs to ensure quality broadcasting.
- Maintain accurate and ongoing reports for radio station requests, data analytics, and leadership reports.
Recording Studio Support - Coordinate and maintain an organized booking calendar or schedules for studio sessions.
- Assist with the upkeep, organization, and readiness of studio facilities and equipment.
Podcast Café Operations - Manage podcast scheduling and assist with recording logistics.
- Support podcast distribution across platforms and ensure timely content delivery.
Team & Intern Coordination - Coordinate assignments for intern and work-study students within the multimedia department
- Provide guidance, task assignments, and ensure alignment with departmental goals.
Multimedia Collaboration & Production - Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors for multimedia needs, including staging, audio, visual, photography, and videography.
- Communicate with photographers and videographers to ensure timely delivery and sharing of media assets.
Social Media Management - Assist in the development of social media plans, campaigns, and scheduling of content shooting days
- Share approved content provided by departments and partners to the appropriate institutional social media accounts.
- Communicate with college departments regarding the publication of pertinent information on official channels.
- Assist in maintaining an active and engaging social media presence aligned with institutional goals.
Brand Integrity & Collaboration - Serve as a liaison between Strategic Engagement, Integrated Marketing and Communications, and other departments to plan, produce, and promote campus initiatives effectively.
- Support digital consistency across all affiliated programs, ensuring compliance with institutional branding guidelines.
Administrative & Financial Support - Assist in maintaining accurate records of payments received for bookings and reservations of the recording studio
- Submit vendor invoices and supporting documentation for payment related to multimedia and digital engagement services.
- Maintain accurate records of services, contracts, and deliverables.
Event Support & Coverage - Provide multimedia and technical support for live events to include but not limited to, Convocations, Founder’s Day, Winter Commencement, May Commencement, and other institutional activities as assigned.
- Assist in coordinating multimedia coverage, including live streaming, audio/visual setup, and post-event media processing.
Scheduling & Communication - Manage the departmental calendar and coordinate multimedia coverage across multiple events and platforms.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding important dates, deadlines, and departmental updates.
Asset Management - Assist with organizing, cataloging, and maintaining multimedia assets (audio, video, photography, and digital files).
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and accessibility of all media assets.
- Other duties as assigned.
| | Education/ Experience What you will need to be successful! | - Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia, Communications, Broadcasting, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience with radio, podcasting, multimedia production, or social media management preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity with audio/visual equipment, recording software, and digital media platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
