| Position Summary | The Division of Liberal Arts and Humanities is seeking qualified adjunct faculty to facilitate courses in African American History by delivering high-quality instruction in flexible formats, including in person and potentially hybrid or online classes. Adjunct faculty play a critical role in supporting student success, particularly for non-traditional students balancing education with work, family, and other responsibilities. |
| Essential Duties & Responsibilities The results you will deliver each day that matter most! | - Teach assigned courses in accordance with established curriculum and academic standards
- Facilitate engaging, student-centered learning experiences tailored to adult learners
- Provide clear course expectations, timely feedback, and fair assessment of student performance
- Maintain regular communication with students and respond promptly to questions or concerns
- Foster an inclusive, respectful, and supportive classroom environment
- Submit required documentation, including syllabi, attendance, grades, and course reports, in a timely manner
- Participate in departmental meetings or training sessions
- Other duties as assigned

| Education/ Experience What you will need to be successful! | - Master’s degree in the teaching discipline or a related field (required); doctorate preferred for some subject areas
- Prior teaching experience in higher education, adult education, or a related setting preferred
- Experience working with adult or non-traditional students strongly preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to teach in flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends
- Experience teaching blended, hybrid, and online classes are a plus.
