Adjunct Accompanist, Music Instructor

Position Summary

Livingstone College is seeking a dynamic, skilled, and resourceful Adjunct Accompanist and Music Instructor to join our music faculty. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in collaborative piano. This position requires a commitment to providing high-quality accompaniment for undergraduate applied lessons, rehearsals, and recitals. Preference will be given to candidates with a master’s degree in music. Strong sight read and interpersonal skills are required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The results you will deliver each day that matter most!
  • Accompany vocal and instrumental music majors for lessons, rehearsals, and student recitals.
  • Accompany College Choir rehearsals and performances as needed
  • Demonstrate commitment to growth of the musical arts in the Livingstone College Music and Theater Arts Department and wider Salisbury community.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education/ Experience

What you will need to be successful!
  • Master’s degree in music, Performance or a related field; Doctorate preferred.
  • Experience accompanying people of various skill levels and instruments.
