Starting Rate: $24.25 + full time benefits

Job Summary:

The Chassis Prep will do prep work (Installations/Welding/Fabrication) for the hoist mounting process and install certain components onto Truck Chassis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reviews the truck chassis with the model of the hoist to be mounted and plans out what steps are necessary to complete the installation.
  • Install some of the electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic components needed prior to the hoist mounting process.
  • Connects hydraulic hose from cylinder to oil tank
  • Inspects work before the truck is moved on in the process
  • Operate a handheld plasma, huck gun, torch, air drill, and chain drill as part of their everyday duties.
  • Operates a forklift to move components as needed.
  • Must be able to read a tape measure.
  • Have mechanical knowledge in truck parts installation.
  • Complete tasks while adhering to production schedules
  • Communicate any issues or quality concerns to department Supervisor
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards
  • Operates all tools and equipment safely.
  • Reports any safety issues immediately to the manager.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to assemble based on written and verbal guidelines.
  • A minimum of six months experience in a manufacturing environment, with proficiency in using various measuring instruments.
  • 1+ years of mechanical experience.
  • 1+ years of welding experience.
  • Electrical Knowledge is a plus.
  • Understanding of manufacturing methods and procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and perform basic mathematical operations.
  • Ability to follow instructions under limited supervision.
  • Refuse (Waste Truck) experience is preferred.
