This position includes the routine analysis of laboratory samples of raw materials and in-process and finished Innospec products, the proper use of instrumentation and test methods, and timely communication with Production and other departments.

Essential Functions

  • Follow all applicable Safety and Quality requirements conforming to EFfCI/ISO standards 9001 (Quality) / 14001 (Environmental) / 45001 (Safety) / 18001 (Safety).
  • Perform routine analysis of raw materials, in-process and finished products including daily checks for required instrumentation.
  • Perform calculations for batch adjustments without direct supervision.
  • Work a shift without direct supervision.
  • Assist with inventory management and ordering.
  • Basic Instrumentation Use/Knowledge (Capable of using basic/complex instrumentation).
  • Intermediate Test Method Knowledge.
  • Intermediate Product Knowledge.
  • Communicating results to production.
  • Perform wastewater adjustments (High Point only).
  • Packaged Material Inspections.
  • Boiler Water analysis.
  • Instructs and trains QC Associate Chemists

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Science field)-Chemistry preferred
  • Must have basic computer skills including familiarity with spread sheet programs
  • 0-2 years of job experience, manufacturing laboratory experience
  • Capable of communicating and relating to employees at all levels of the company
  • Capable of walking and standing for long periods of time
