We are looking to add a Senior Project Engineer to our fast-growing team in Salisbury, NC.

The Senior Project Engineer will be responsible for overseeing engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

Essential Functions:

  1. Upon Develop and maintain a 3–5-year Capex roadmap aligned with business strategy.
  2. Challenge project scopes and apply value engineering principles to optimize cost and efficiency.
  3. Establish and manage framework agreements with engineering service providers.
  4. Implement the governance and ensure compliance with OSHA and corporate standards.
  5. Provide portfolio visibility through dashboards and regular reporting on cost, schedule, and quality.
  6. Lead a core team of project engineers and oversee external service providers.
  7. Engage with senior leadership to influence priorities and secure approvals.
  8. Manage unplanned projects without compromising strategic objectives.
  9. Oversee project engineering activities, including scope definition, cost estimation, and input into project plans.
  10. Ensure robust design and commissioning processes, including Hazops, safety assessments, and compliance with OSHA and corporate standards.
  11. Support to Site Process Engineering Manager and Site Process Engineer for continuous improvement in process engineering issues.
  12. Support for line management trouble shooting when they need help. Source of advice to all levels of personnel at EP on process issues.
  13. Support line management in the development and upkeep of plant and safety systems, in particular Operating Procedures and ELDs as a deliverable on new projects

Role Requirements:

  1. Chemical Engineering degree and Chartered Engineer Status (Or working towards)
  2. 10+ Years experience in chemical plant process engineering both from an office and on the plant. Comfortable with handling detail
  3. Experience of Fine and Speciality Chemicals manufacture
  4. Practical, Efficient, can do approach coupled with strong technical knowledge
  5. Experience of working with High Hazards and awareness and experience in Safety and Environmental Management Systems and awareness of relevant global legislation related to chemical plant design build & operation
  6. Hands on approach – capable of delivering work themselves as well as through others
  7. Experience of designing, building and commissioning manufacturing plants / experience in a Process Development environment is essential.
