Job Summary
The Material Handler I loads and unloads material within the plant, warehouse or storage facility. Utilizes hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move material to and from trucks or trains and within the storage facility. May record flow information of materials and products. Has knowledge of standard practices and procedures within a particular field. Performs a variety of tasks. Must be able to work with minimal supervision.

Essential Functions

• Loading and unloading trucks ensuing each shipment is accurate and undamaged in a safe manner
• Verifying the accuracy of quantity and quality of incoming deliveries for production
• Identifying and locating the right products during the delivery process
• Documenting batch sheets and other documents; logging information required
• Operating forklifts, pallet jacks and hand trucks to move stock and reorganize
• Identifying, labeling and keeping materials and supplies in stock; recording inventory location and reporting
• Preparing stock for receiving and shipping by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading and securing stock
• Collaborating with internal departments to locate missing product/inventory, fix incorrect deliveries and replace product
• Must adhere to workplace safety regulations and practices

Role Requirements

• Forklift experience required
• 1 – 3 years experience in a warehouse setting or material handling
• Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent GED.
• ERP or SAP experience a plus.
• Works under moderate supervision.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Warehouse: 2 years (Preferred)
• SAP ERP: 1 year (Preferred)

Shift availability:

• Day Shift (Required)
• Night Shift (Required)

Ability to Commute:
